Giborn Apparel is a knitwear manufacturing group based in Humen Town, Dongguan, China. The business grew out of a small knitwear workshop with roughly twenty years of production experience, was formally established as a group in 2020, and moved into a new automated facility in August 2025. We produce T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies and knit tops for casual-wear brands in Europe, the United States and Australia.

The group operates four garment factories with more than 3,000 skilled workers. The 2025 relocation added automated hanging production lines, which lifted production efficiency by over 30% compared with the previous manual transfer workflow. We are the factory. Development, cutting, sewing, finishing and quality control all happen in our own facilities, which is why we can commit to a specification at sampling and still hold it in bulk.

Yes. Under our ODM model we handle design, fabric selection, pattern development, sampling and cost optimisation for you. Under OEM we produce to your designs, tech packs or reference samples. Both routes are described on our OEM & ODM service page.

Single Jersey, Interlock, Rib, Fleece, Terry and Jacquard, in cotton, cotton blends, polyester blends and performance yarns. Organic and recycled yarn options are available on request. Finishes include enzyme wash, peach finish and anti-pilling treatment.

Yes. We support test orders for new brands, designer labels and e-commerce brands with flexible MOQ and multi-style combinations. Rather than quoting a fixed minimum, we look at the order as a whole — several styles at lower quantities each is often workable where a single style at the same total would not be. We would rather grow with a brand than turn it away at the first order.

Yes, and for smaller brands this is usually the better structure. Combining styles that share a fabric base spreads inventory risk across a range instead of concentrating it in one product.

Standard samples take 5–10 days. More complex development — custom fabric, unusual construction or multiple revision rounds — takes 10–20 days. Pattern making and prototype sewing are done in-house, so revisions do not wait on an external workshop.

Small batches run 15–30 days, standard orders 30–60 days, and large-scale multi-style programmes 60 days or more. Actual timing depends on style complexity, fabric availability and how many sample revisions were needed. Confirmed dates are agreed in writing once the sample is approved.

We run seven inspection gates: raw material, fabric, in-line, semi-finished, final garment, AQL audit and shipment QC. Each gate has its own pass criteria and a batch does not advance until it clears. The full framework is set out on our manufacturing page.

Yes. Our facility is audited under the amfori BSCI social compliance framework and is certified to ISO 9001:2015 for the production of knitted and woven garments. Both certificates can be viewed on our about page.

Fabric is sourced from established mills in the Guangdong and Fujian knitting clusters, and every roll is inspected on arrival — four-point defect scan, GSM and shrinkage test — before it enters stock. Core fabric bases are held in inventory so frequently used materials can be reserved ahead of a confirmed order.

Fabrics are stored by composition, GSM and colour lot, and approved patterns and specifications stay on file. A repeat order can therefore be matched to the original batch rather than approximated, which is why replenishment runs are faster than first orders.

Both. We produce to your specs (OEM) or develop products for you from design to bulk (ODM).

A tech pack is ideal, but a reference sample, a photo, or even a written description of what you want to produce is enough to begin. From there we confirm feasibility, propose fabric options and quote. Send us what you have and we will come back with a plan.

Roughly 40% of our output goes to the European Union, 40% to the United States and 20% to Australia. We are familiar with the documentation and compliance expectations of those markets.
